C-C elementary school receive grants

The three Churchville-Chili elementary schools, Fairbanks Road School, Churchville Elementary School and Chestnut Ridge School, each received a $500 grant from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program. The schools will use the money in support of their literacy initiative programs. Arrow Marts, Inc. of North Chili worked with school officials to secure the grants.

The district's literacy initiative is a comprehensive and balanced literacy program designed to support teachers from grades kindergarten to eight and school principals in their quest to teach children to read, write, listen and speak effectively at each level of development.

The grants were made possible through funding by the ExxonMobil Corporation.
