More pop tops for Lakeside

Pat Butler, president of the Lions Club of Rochester Northside, brought in tops collected by the Leo's Club of Churchville for the ongoing pop top collection at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. The Leo's Club is a group of 23 youths from Churchville Middle and High Schools, ages 12-18. Butler collects the pop tops from the club several times each month and deposits them at Lakeside. "It is really extraordinary to have people of different age groups coming together to support their local hospital," Cora Goyette, director of Donor Relations for Lakeside said. The drive encourages people to save their pop and beer can tabs for recycling. Proceeds from their sale are given to Lakeside Twig Association who in turn donates the funds to the hospital for purchase of medical equipment.
