Blue Devils swamp Rangers

Brockport won the first 10 events before swimming the final two exhibition in a 99-79 victory over Spencerport.

Tessa Snow led the way with wins in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.18 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:26.29. She was also part of the 200-yard freestyle relay with Brittney Westcott, Victoria Brannan and Emma Snow winning in 1:50.09. Brannan also took the 100-yard freestyle in :57.85.

Brittany Hart took first in the 50-yard freestyle in :27.12, Danielle Peruzzini the diving competition with 184.65 points, Hali Snow the 100-yard butterfly in 1:09.85 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:08.64 and Kelly Anzalone the 200-yard individual medley in 2:31.09.

Anzalone, Brannan, Laura Bahr and Hali Snow also won the 200-yard medley relay to start the meet in 2:06.88.

For the Rangers, Lara Spiegel won the 100-yard breastroke in 1:22.18 and the team of Kayla McNall, Maura McGuire, Maryanne Eisenberg and Kaitie Buckwell won the 400-yard freestyle relay to finish the meet in 4:09.37.

Buckwell took second in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. McNall was second in the 100-yard freestyle and Maureen Richardson was runner-up in the 200-yard individual medley.

Tessa Snow and Brannan for Brockport and Buckwell for the Rangers are all approaching, or have already surpassed, state qualifying time. For Snow, events include the IM, breastroke and 100 free; Brannan in the backstroke and Buckwell in the 500 free.

The Rangers record dropped to 3-5 while the Blue Devils improved to 7-1.
