Westside Wave swimmers recognized

The Niagara District of USA-Swimming handed out the annual Versatile Swimmer, Go The Distance and Top 10 swimmer Awards at their district meeting on October 2.

Those Westside Wave swimmers being recognized as Versatile Swimmers for swimming a wide variety of events were: Nicole Almeter, Meghan Kettinger, Brittany Myers, Nick Olson and Mariah Trainor.

Sarah Whiteside earned the Go The Distance award for swimming a variety of long distance events.

Four swimmers earned both Versatile Swimmer and Go The Distance awards, they were: Julia Allen, Jacob Ammons, Kevin Sullivan and Jenni Sullivan.

The district also awarded certificates to swimmers who finished the 2004-2005 season with a time ranked in the Top-10 of all swimmers in the district. Earning Top-10 times for Westside were Nick Olson and Kevin Sullivan in the Boy's 10 and under 200 Breastroke and Jenni Sullivan in the Women's 15 and over 100 and 200 Breastroke.
