Kendall art students complete project

Kendall seniors Jazmine Almeter and Margaret Aubel have shown off their art talent in a display they created for the BOCES 2 Educational Services Center in Spencerport. Located in the foyer of the building, the display pays tribute to what is now the Career and Technical Education Center, formerly known as WE-MO-CO, located next door. Both young women are students in the Center's two-year commercial art class, taught by Peter Botsis.

Almeter and Aubel volunteered their time to do the display, which changes periodically throughout the year. Arlene Covella, School-to-Work assistant, provided them with old photos of the building and students, along with articles about WE-MO-CO that had appeared in local papers over the years. The girls took several current photos to add to the display, which features WE-MO-CO then and now, the building, awards and courses offered. Each section of text and photos was printed on the large format printer in the commercial art classroom, then mounted on foam board. It took them two weeks to complete the project.
