The popular daily comic strip by former Spencerport resident John Kovaleski was launched by The Washington Post Writers Group in May 2003 and appears in newspapers around the world. more

Clarendon to discuss church, water districts
A decision has to be made on the crumbling historic Universalist Church in the Town of Clarendon. The 200-year-old church has fallen into disrepair and is in danger of foreclosure by Orleans County for non-payment of taxes, Supervisor Richard Moy said. more

Hilton singers selected for prestigious chorus role
The Hilton Bel Canto, a group of 29 choral students from Hilton's Merton Williams Middle School and the Village Elementary School, has been selected by audition to be the children's chorus for the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the Auditorium Theater. more

BHS fitness center open
The Brockport High School Fitness Center will be open to the community from January to June for a $60 fee. The community can use state of the art equipment in a safe, supervised environment to help improve health and fitness levels. more

Sophomore Joel Blocker scored six straight points on offensive rebound put-backs to lead Brockport to a 47-40 victory over Livonia in the season opener for both teams. more

Whitney Hickey, a sophomore at Hilton High School, earned the opportunity to compete in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championship in Buffalo. more

Sophomore Rebecca DeHority served 10 aces, just two short of the school record, as Churchville-Chili swept Pittsford-Mendon 25-14, 25-8, 25-20 in a high school girl's volleyball season opener. more
