Tom Nevada, owner of The Ridge House, held his annual US Marine Birthday Party. This year marked the 230th anniversary, on November 12. Sergeant Dana P. Aucter was the honored guest. He enlisted at age 17 in 1968 and was sent to Viet Nam. After being wounded four times and receiving three purple hearts, he was sent stateside to Quantico, Virginia where he trained officers to qualify with all military small weapons.
