Holley inducts students into National Honor Society

The Holley High School Chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed 10 new members at its annual induction ceremony in late November. NHS officers described the qualities required for membership - character, scholarship, leadership, service and citizenship - and lit a candle symbolizing each of the qualities.

Superintendent Robert D'Angelo, who was the guest speaker for the event, and Interim Principal Paul Hendel welcomed the new members with certificates and inductees' parents presented their daughters and sons with NHS pins. Students must have an academic average of at least 90 percent; they must apply for the honor, and be selected by a faculty council based on the five qualities of membership.
