AREA

•Davis, Gene Wayne, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, formerly of the Hamlin/Brockport area, died December 12, 2005 at age 64. He is predeceased by his father, Marlon Sr., and mother Dorothy; sister, Delores and brother, Clifford. Survived by two daughters, Deborah and Dawn; brothers, Sonny, Delbert, Donald, Richard and Everett; sister, Kathy; many nieces and nephews, and friends.

An informal gathering of friends and family will be held at the American Legion Post in Holley on December 27 at 7:00 p.m.


•Schneider, Leona Ruth (Kemp), age 79, formerly of Spencerport and Churchville, died December 15, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Harley R. Schneider; daughters, Carol Schneider (Andre) Dumont, of Santa Fee, New Mexico, Marilyn J. Schneider (John Schmidhauser), of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sister, Marjorie Easter Kemp; brother, Eugene (Rita) of Rochester; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services are scheduled for January 7, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, in Churchville and on January 8, 2006, at 7 p.m. at St. John's Meadows, Johnsarbor Drive W., Rochester. Donations can be made to the charity of one's choice in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•Engels, Jane, December 18, 2005. She will be remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Marcia and Frederick Fowler of Brockport; son, David Engels and his friend Becky, both of Newark; grandchildren, Michael and Dara Fowler of Greece, Kathleen and Sean Morgan of Goshen; great-grandson, Daniel Frederick Morgan; brother-in-law, Orville Martin of Newark; several nieces and nephews; many faithful friends. Mrs. Engels was predeceased by her husband, Caryl N. Engels on November 3, 1997.

Funeral Services were held December 21 at the Park Presbyterian Church Chapel, Newark. Interment, Newark Cemetery. Donations can be sent to Lakeside Health System Foundation, 170 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 or to Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark 14513 in her memory.


•Maloney, Paul Francis, On December 14, 2005, age 86. He is predeceased by his son, Donald J. Koons on November 4, 2005. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Gertrude A. Maloney; daughters, Gloria Amato, Donna "Rusti" (Jerry) Thurley and Theresa Orr; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Maloney, Ed (Dee) Maloney; sister, Sissy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul retired from Lewis General Tire after 55 years of service.

A Funeral Mass was said December 19 at the Church of the Nativity, Brockport. Donations can be made to Lollypop Farm in his memory.


•Robinson, David C., age 53, died December 13, 2005 following a long illness. He was born March 4, 1952 in Massachusetts and had lived in this area since 1991. David was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his sister, Geraldine "J.J." Neale of Malone, Florida; a niece, Victoria Peton-Wibbe of Alabama, New York; three great nephews; one great niece.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Brockport, in his memory.


•Siebert, Harold J. "Hal," formerly of Brockport, died November 19, 2005 at the age of 81. Hal is predeceased by his parents Frederick and Nellie Siebert, and step-mother and aunt Lela Siebert, and brother "Billy." He is survived by his son Jefferson T. (Martine) Siebert of Laos; step-son Paul (Karrie) Bowers and their children, Kassidie and Jacob of Walworth; and step-daughter Pamela Bowers and her son, Shamar of Ohio; his devoted cousin Thelma Jean Rickhoff of California; dear friends Milt and Nancy Danko and Lou and Kay Reali of Spencerport; many friends and professional associates. Hal was a WWII vet in the U.S. Merchant Marines, a Naval officer and commercial shipping engineer for many years. Hal was an adjunct professor and forever a student of higher education, pioneer studies, and alternative medicine. Hal retired from Xerox as a quality-control engineer in 1983. In latter years, his entrepreneurial spirit was dedicated in agri-science and the pure-water and medical-plastic industries. Toastmasters International awarded him the earned honor of "Competent Toaster." As an essayist, he was awarded first prize in Greyhound's "A Trip to Remember" Contest 2002. He also served as a board member of the Rochester Area Vegetarian Society (RAVS).

HILTON

•Dunn, Barbara M. (Hall), December 17, 2005 at age 73. Beloved wife of William I. Dunn, her husband of 55 years. Loving mother of Cheryl (Thomas) Personte, Karen (Vincent) Paolotto, Brian (Julie) Dunn, all of Rochester and William A. Dunn of Niagara Falls; loving sister of Jane (Ronald) Halleen of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Hall and her daughter-in-law, Diane Dunn. She was a retiree of Rochester General Hospital.

Funeral Services were held December 20 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association in her memory.


•Edwards, Leo M., December 15, 2005, age 71. Survived by his wife, Marsha; children, Merton (Patricia) Edwards, Mark (Maryalice) Edwards, Mary Jane Harris, Wayne (Karen) Edwards, Philip (Eileen) Edwards; brother, Philip (Betty) Edwards; sisters, Ruth (Lawrence) McLear, Grace (Carter) Kreage; grandchildren, Zachary, Katherine, Nicholas, Morgan, Jessica, Nathan, Allyson, Holly Ann, Erin, Patrick; many nieces and nephews.

•Keenan, Helen M., December 11, 2005, age 79. Predeceased by her husband, B. James Keenan. Survived by her children Edward (Mary Lou) Price, Tina (Greg) Keenan-Falkner; brother, Robert (Kay) Price; sisters, Violet (Gene) Cowan, Beulah (Charlie) Stine, Mary Burkholder; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

KENDALL

•Jenks, Bonnylu M., On December 15, 2005, at the Lakeside Hospital, Brockport, after a long battle with diabetes. She was born on December 4, 1936 in Clarendon, NY, the daughter of the late Ralph and Bonnabel (Brooks) Maxon. Bonnylu was formerly employed as a lab technician with 3M of Rochester for 35 years. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John W. Jenks; brother Boyd (Barbara) Maxon of Knoxville, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Louise Maxon of Kendall and Margo Maxon of Rochester; many nieces, nephews and many Jenks family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be announced. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Amherst, NY 14426 in her memory.


SPENCERPORT

•Smallidge, Mary H., December 15, 2005. Predeceased by her husband, Charles; daughters, Patricia and Rosemary; sisters, Frances Betkowski, Lucille Brown and Martha Casanzio. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Lynn), Charles (Joyce) and John Smallidge; daughter, Margaret (George) Burch; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Buttaccio; sister, Joan (Rick) Dowdell; many nieces, nephews and very dear family friends.

A Funeral Mass was said December 19 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. John's Lazarus Club, 55 Martha Street, Spencerport 14559.


•Pressley, David B., December 17, 2005, at age 86. Predeceased by his wife Jane E. Pressley. He is survived by his two sons David T. "Tom" Pressley and William A. Pressley; his six grandchildren. David retired as a machinist from Delco Products.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
