Color Guard competition planned

On January 28, the Holley Sports Boosters and the Rochester Patriots Winter Color Guard will be hosting a Northeast Color Guard Circuit Competition at Holley High School.

Color Guard competitions combine theater, dance and the joy of performance with the cornerstone of equipment spinning and flying through the air. Each guard is judged by a professionally trained panel of six judges on a possible score of 100. Trophies are awarded at the end of the competition.

In competition there will be 17 Winter Color Guards from the United States and Canada, with local representation from the Rochester Patriots, Gates Chili High School, Victor High School and Bloomfield High School and others. Also performing in exhibition will be a unique Color Guard, the Rainbow Guard from Rochester.

Competition begins at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is $5 and tickets are available at the door. For information call 638-8922.
