Clarendon property owners advised of meeting

On January 25 at 6:30 p.m., the Office of Real Property Services will attend an informational meeting to discuss Annual Reassessment vs. Triennial Reassessment, the procedural differences between the two as well as how equalizations rates are determined.

The Office of Real Property has no control over taxes or individual assessments. The purpose of the meeting is to gain an understanding of the procedure itself. Property owners are encouraged to attend the meeting if they would like to gain a better understanding of the assessment process.

Complaints about individual assessments should be addressed with the Grievance Board during the regular grievance period in May. Forms are available in the Assessor's office the first week of May. The assessor does not determine tax rates.
