•Brandenstein, Rev. Robert Lewis, 82, died on January 1, 2006, Indianapolis, Indiana. He recently retired from pastoral services to the United Church of Christ, Webster and Wayland, NY and was previously Vice President of Lincoln Rochester National Bank. He served at Riga Congregational Church for many years in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He also served as Vice President of the Churchville Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by daughters Sherilyn Brandenstein and Dawn Davis (Everett), and son Norman Brandenstein (Chuck Akerland).

•Germaine, Nellie D., Died January 15, 2006 at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. She is survived by several cousins. She lived her 101 years in Brockport, where she taught elementary education. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport and a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Interment, Lakeview Cemetery. Donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport in her memory.


•Holland, Ellen Claire, January 15, 2006 at age 74. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Tom; sons, Tom (Gloria), Mark (Darlene), Dean (Teri); daugh-ters, Lynn (Jerry) Ryan, Judy (Rocky) Baye, and Kris (Erich) Hartz; sister, Bernice Pegram; 24 grandchildren, Erin (Scott), Kari, Raegan, Mary, Tom, Tony, Nick, Joe, Heather, Jennifer (Aaron), Nicole (Jamie), Diana, Ryan, Jeremy, Jesse, Rocky, Erich, Nate, Michelle, Kayleigh, Kortney, Krista, Ericha, Mick; great-grandchildren, Jobie, Brooklynn and Tommy.

•Pegg, Gordon W., On January 10, 2006. Predeceased by his son Scott. He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter, Michele (James) Turner; grandchildren, Jenna and Adam; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

•Walker, Lawrence A., On January 17, 2006. Predeceased by his parents, Howard E. and Cora E. Walker; and great-grandson, Jadon Ellis. He is survived by his children, Cathy (Steve) Wright, Mary Ann (Vern) Lamboy, Stephen Walker; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tai Conway) Wright, Amy (Todd) Ellis, Molly Lamboy, Samantha and Alexis Walker; great-grandchild, Dora Ellis; and his many wonderful caregivers at MCH and Donna Nawatchik.

•Foley, Lester Franklin, January 11, 2006 at age 78. Survived by his wife of 58 years Ruth C. Foley; his children Cathleen Foley, James (Deborah) Foley and Scott (Susan) Foley; grandchildren, Mark (Jeanette) Woodcook, Mary Kay (Bob) Sherman, Christine (Paul) Smiley and Christopher Foley; great-grandchildren Dylan, Jadyn, Loran and Cassady; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Barbara Foley; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Shawn Foley and great-granddaughter, Mariah Farrelly. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company, a Navy veteran who accompanied Admiral Byrd on Operation High Jump to the South Pole and volunteered in his retirement years with the National Warplane Museum.

•Rodrigues, Manuel J. "Pappy," January 13, 2006. Predeceased by his wife, Grace and son Ronald Rodrigues. Survived by his son Manuel R. •Patterson, Max A. Jr., January 12, 2006, age 64. Survived by his bride of 38 years, Kathleen; mother, Felicia Cummings; children, Michael (Jennifer) Patterson, Maureen (Tim) Johnson, Mark (Christy) Patterson, Lisa (Steve) Vail; sisters, Jean Saltsmen, Martha (John) Berry, Sandy Richards, Debbie (Mike) McDaniel; brothers, Emery Cummings, Thomas Cummings, Gene (Doreen) Patterson, Dean Patterson; nine grandsons; two granddaughters; many nieces and nephews. Max was a retired USN Chief, 1983 and retired from USAA Insurance Company in 1999. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 708 and The American Legion Harrison-Lee Post 283, Livonia Center.

•Sucy, James G., January 14, 2006, age 75. Predeceased by his wife, Anna; brother, Sharland. Survived by his children, Peter (Sandra) Sucy, Jennifer (Joe) Ferraro, Douglas (Nancy) Sucy, Todd Sucy of San Francisco, California, John (Lisa White) Sucy; brother Michael Sucy of Maine; sister, Barbara (Fred) Payne of Nova Scotia; sister-in-law, Doris Sucy; 12 grandchildren; nieces, nephews. He served in the U.S. Navy on the Battleship U.S.S. New Jersey during the Korean War. He retired from Eastman Kodak in 1986 as manager of Education Market Services. He was active in Our Mother of Sorrows Church since 1957 and a former president of the Rochester Jaycees and the International Visual Literacy Association.

HOLLEY

•Heath, Robert E., life-long resident and attorney in Holley, died January 17, 2006, at the age of 79. He joined his grandfather and father at the law practice of Heath and Heath in 1951. He continued the practice with his son, Douglas M. Heath in partnership with Jeffrey Martin. They were assisted for fifty years by Beverly Lane Brennan, as the firm then became known as Heath and Martin of Holley, NY. He served as County, School and Town attorney. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, House of Delegates, Trust and Estate Division, and Orleans County Bar Association as past president. Mr. Heath was a lifetime member of the Holley Fire Department, served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a 57-year member of the American Legion Jewell Buckman Post 529. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Holley, a member of Rotary International, The Lakeside Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, SUNY Brockport College Council, Orleans County Republican Committee, American Red Cross Board of Directors and Past Master of Murray Lodge 380 F&AM. Mr. Heath is survived by his beloved wife "Zip" (Helen Parry); four children and ten grandchildren: Judi (Ray) Dempsey, Peter and Ellen of Northbrook, Illinois, Jill (Richard) Reichert, Katie, Molly, Sarah and Chrissie of Lake City, Florida, Douglas (Brenda) Heath, Mark and Andrew of Holley; and Susan (Michael) Reighard, Tommy and Scott of Avon Lake, Ohio. He is also survived by his aunt, Hilda Heath Dietter and cousins Roxanna Miller and Penny Yunghans.

Funeral Services were held January 21 at the First Presbyterian Church in Holley. Private interment, Hillside Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Holley Fire Department, First Presbyterian Church of Holley or Hospice of Orleans in his memory.


KENDALL

•Dutton, Lenzie P., Age 85, died January 14, 2006. He was a member of the Morton Baptist Church and retired from Eastman Kodak Co. after 35 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII in the European Theater. He is survived by his wife Pamela; three daughters, Sharon (Terry) Schapp of Hulberton, Linda (Jeffrey Guy) Dutton of Rochester, Kelley (Albert) Allen of Sidney, Maine; three grandchildren, Tersha (Jon) Choy of Albany, Ethan Allen and Nathan Allen of Sidney, Maine.

A Funeral Service was held January 16 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment, Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Orleans or the Morton Baptist Church.


SPENCERPORT

•Allen, Lawrence C., January 16, 2006 at age 88. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years Ruth M. Allen and his sister Bessie Meyers. He is survived by his children Bonnie (Barry) Hartman, Larry (Pat) Allen, David Allen and Kathleen (Jack) Gerlich; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kellie, Kristen and Greg Allen, Meagan Hartman; brother Marvin (Dorothy) Allen; brother-in-law Frank Meyers; several nieces and nephews. Larry was a member of Harvey C. Noone American Legion Post #954.

•Vroom, Clifford G. Jr., in Plainfield, Illinois, age 91 died January 9, 2006. He was a resident of Largo, Florida for 27 years until 2003 having moved from Rochester. His wife of 66 years, Jeanne A. Vroom, survives him. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Unity Lodge #479, Spencerport, NY Consistory and a design engineer for 40 plus years at the Eastman Kodak Company. He was formerly a member of Greece Baptist Church and District Chairman of the Otetiana Council, Boy Scouts of America. Also surviving are three children Larry G. Vroom (Trudy) of Sun City, Arizona, Sandra A. Hoyt (James) of Plainfield, Illinois and Neil S. Vroom (Sandra) of Mooresville, North Carolina; six grandchil-dren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will host a celebration of his life in Plainfield at a later date. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Spencerport, his birthplace. Contributions can be made in his memory to St. Thomas Hospice of 13230 Madison, Burr Ridge, Illinois 60527.
