Chili Recreation programs

Beginner baton and flag twirling - basic baton and flag twirling, streamers, marching and twirl routines. Batons will be provided for use of class or may be purchased from instructor. There will be a demonstration for parents during the last class. Class 1 - ages 4 to 6, Thursdays, 6 to 6:45 p.m. Class 2 - ages 7 and older, Thursdays, 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. Chili Community Center. Instructor Pat Mayne. Session: February 2 - March 16 (No class during February vacation). $35 resident or $40/non -resident. Classes will be combined if there is not enough students for two classes. Register early.

Friday night recreational Floor Hockey league - Non-competitive league. Space is limited to 40 players and volunteer coaches are needed. Open to children in grades 1 through 3. Fridays, February 17 - March 24 (6 weeks), 6 to 8 p.m. (one hour games). Chili Community Center, $35/resident or $40/non-resident. Registration deadline is February 3.

Lacrosse - Recreational travel league program. Teams will travel to area towns for games as well as play in Chili. Teams play three days a week and the season runs from April through June. Open to children in grades 3 to 6. (Players are separated into two divisions). Season runs April to early June, $85/resident or $90/non-resident. (Price includes team jersey). Registration deadline is February 10.

Imagination station - stories, arts & crafts, and songs. Each week's activities will be based on a theme such as Valentine's Day, Dr. Seuss and Teddy Bears. Open to children ages 3 to 5. Fridays, 11 to 11:45 a.m., Chili Community Center. Instructor Miss Brenda. Session: February 3 to March 3 (five weeks). $25/resident or $30/non-resident.

Kindermusik sing and sign - Use the power of music and play to create unique opportunities to share ASL signing with your child. Children 6 months to 3 years (with adult). Fridays, 10 to 10:45 a.m., Chili Community Center, Instructor Miss Brenda. Session: February 3 to March 3. $25/resident or $30/non-resident plus a $35 material fee payable to instructor.

Body Blast fitness class - a three-day-a-week class that meets for four weeks. Body Blast is a compact, challenging, energizing circuit that will work the entire body. Adults, Monday and Wednesday, 5:30 to 6 p.m. and Friday, 4:30 to 5 p.m. February 6 - March 6 (session 1); March 13 - April 7 (session 2); April 10 - May 8 (session 3); Chili Community Center. Instructor Julie Hathorne, Certified Personal Trainer. $40/resident and $45/non-resident. A circuit is a high energy aerobic workout combined with weight resistance equipment in a series of stations, stopping only briefly at each.

Boot Camp fitness class - a four-week, two-day-a-week program that meets for 45 minutes each day to perform military style exercises. It builds in intensity as fitness level improves. Adults - Monday and Wednesday, 6 to 6:45 p.m., February 6 - March 6 (session 1); March 13 - April 5 (session 2); April 10 - May 3 (session 3). Chili Community Center. Instructor: Julie Hathorne, Certified Personal Trainer. $40/resident or $45/non-resident.

Valentine's Dance - Any father, stepdad, uncle or other adult may escort that special girl to the Community Center for an evening of fun. There will be dancing, refreshments, and goody bags for all the girls who attend. Space is limited to 140 people. Buy tickets early. Open to girls up to age 12 accompanied by an adult, Saturday, February 4, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Chili Community Center. $20/resident family or $30/non-resident family.
