Students/teachers give Holley High School foyer a new look

A group of Holley High School students and teachers took time over holiday break to transform the foyer ceiling into something really eye catching. Teacher Jim DiSessa had the idea to paint murals on the foyer ceilings, and Josh Weatherall, art teacher, sketched out designs for each of the panels, incorporating the school colors, the student logo and character education themes. Then, Weatherall created transparencies to project and trace on the ceiling. Pitching in to help paint were Student Council President Rachel Hettel, Treasurer Scott Brooks, Freshman Kelly Pretsch, Sophomore Cody Hovey, and teacher Mark Thomas. The project has taken the group over 14 hours, with a bid more painting left to do.
