Kendall students reach out to farm workers

In Kendall, as in many of its surrounding rural areas, it is not unusual to see migrant farm workers in the fields from early spring through late fall. Kendall High School's Spanish Club, under the direction of advisors Lisa Perry and Gretchen Rosales, is well aware of these workers and has organized a Jean Drive to help them.

During the first two weeks of February, a collection box will be placed at the high school where students, staff and community members can donate their unwanted jeans. The garments should be clean and free of stains and tears. Donations can be brought to the main office during school hours. For information, call 659-2706.
