Long time business official leaving B-B

Scott Hoot, Byron-Bergen Central School District's business official for the past 12 years, has resigned to take a position with the Springville-Griffith Institute school district.

Hoot is credited with crafting a healthy budgetary environment for the district during his tenure. His other duties included supervision of the buildings and grounds, food service and transportation operations of the school system. Additionally, he was a member of the district's team that negotiated collective bargaining agreements with the units within the district.

Superintendent Dr. Greg Geer said, "Scott has served the district well. The district will miss his measured counsel which always focused on cost-effectiveness, yet not at the expense of programming for the students."
