Sara R. Tully of Rochester has been named to the dean's list for academic achievement during the fall 2005 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. Lawrence University, a student must have completed at least four semester units and have an academic average of 3.6 (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Tully graduated from Spencerport High School.


Stacy Garrison, daughter of Douglas and Barbara Garrison of Hamlin has been named to the 2005 fall dean's list at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. Garrison, a member of the class of 2007, graduated from Brockport High School. She is majoring in industrial relations and human resource management.

Jason Strollo has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at the University at Buffalo where he is a sophomore business student in the school of management. He is a 2004 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and is the son of Donna and Tom Strollo of Rochester.


Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has announced the names of students who made the dean's list for the fall semester. The dean's list recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below "C".

Daniel W. Clifford of Hilton; Andrew J. Diehl and Danielle L. LeBeau, both of Spencerport.


Daeman College has named the following students to dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. A matriculated undergraduate student who attains a grade point average of 3.30 or better in any one semester is eligible for dean's list status. Students are: Benjamin Plucknette of Spencerport and Sara A. Schirano of Rochester.


The following student(s) were named presidential scholars or named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at Clarkson University. Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours. Dean's list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 GPA and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

James R. Schreiner, dean's list of Spencerport; Matthew C. Stafford, presidential scholar of Rochester; Michael C. O'Laughlin, dean's list of Brockport; Jessica L. Terrell, presidential scholar of Spencerport; and Eric M. Valentine, presidential scholar of Churchville.


Students were named to the Niagara University academic dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. To qualify, students must attain a 3.25 academic grade-point average for the semester. From this area are:

Brockport: Bridget Marie Herrmann, Patrick Pittman, Lindsay C. Roberts, Janel M. Stepanek;

Spencerport: Brian S. Anderson, Allen Stewart Barton, Carrie M. Hoestermann, Thomas M. Kehoe, Danielle M. Leckinger, Lindsay M. Otto, and Lauren G. Parkhurst;

Rochester: Kelly M. Knox.


Holley senior Jennifer Ham was selected as WE-MO-CO Student of the Month for January in the p.m. session. She is a student in the dental assisting program at the BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education Center in Spencerport. She was selected based on attendance, professional appearance, attitude, communication skills and academic grades. Winning this award makes her eligible for the Student of the Year Award, which is presented at the WE-MO-CO Career and Technical Education Center Awards Ceremony in June.


Erin E. Emrich from Churchville, was named to the dean's list at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, for the fall 2005 semester. Dean's list students earn a 3.5 or better grade point average.


Bradley Dearcop, of Rochester, has been awarded a $1,000 "Educational Foundation Academic Distinction" scholarship to attend Alfred State College.

Dearcop is slated to graduate in 2006 from Churchville-Chili Senior High School and intends to enroll in the mechanical engineering technology program.


Nate Bareham, a second-year student at Mohawk Valley Community College, has been named to the president's list certificate of achievement with a 4.0 academic average for the fall 2005 semester. He is the son of Barry and Donna Bareham of Ogden.


Andrew Decker, of Spencerport, has been named to the SUNY Cobleskill dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. To be named to the dean's list, he was required to achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or more. He is the son of Pete and Sue Decker and graduated from Spencerport High School in June, 2005.


Christine L. Cosman of Brockport was named to the dean's list at Paul Smith's College for the fall 2005 semester. Cosman is enrolled in the hotel, resort and tourism management program and earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction. In addition, she was named an Adirondack Scholar, having achieved a cumulative average of at least 3.8.


Alicia Coon of Brockport has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2005. She is a 2002 graduate of Brockport High School and is the daughter Gary and Wanda Coon.


Joyce Gavigan, an associate broker with Nothnagle Realtors in the Hilton Office, received the Zenith Award from The Women's Council of Realtors of Rochester during a breakfast meeting on January 20.


Marty Barry, a sales agent with Nothnagle Realtors in the Hilton Office, received the Pinnacle Award from The Women's Council of Realtors of Rochester during a breakfast meeting on January 20.


Air Force Cadet Katharine I. Kalamaroff has earned honors with placement on the dean's list at the U. S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado, for demonstrating excellence in academic studies and maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average for a semester.

The academy is a four-year military institution of higher learning that provides instruction, education, training and experience in academics, military training, aviation and airmanship programs, physical training, athletic conditioning, and spiritual and ethical development to all cadets.

Upon graduating, the cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants whom have acquired the knowledge, character and skills essential to meet the leadership challenges of the 21st century as career officers in the U. S. Air Force.

She is the daughter of George and Loretta Kalamaroff of Lansmere Way, Rochester, and a 2005 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Adam A. Cappetti of Chili graduated from Air Force basic training in Lackland, Texas. Cappetti, who graduated from Gates Chili High School in 2002 and attended Monroe Community College for two years, will now go on to communications school in Mississippi.

His father, Ted, recently retired from Kodak and served most of his adult life as a volunteer fireman for the Gates Chili Fire Department. His mother, Norma, who is senior director of regulatory affairs for a major drug company, now reside in Newhope, Pennsylvania.
