Technology project benefits Ronald McDonald House

Byron-Bergen Middle School's 8th grade technology class produced wooden trucks for the children at the Ronald McDonald House. Displaying their creation in different stages of production are students Jason Birch and Megan Curry. They are members of one class that studied mass production, engineering and design and found this an opportunity to apply what they learned in class to help less fortunate children. Technology teacher and coordinator of the project, Jay Wolcott had the students decide on a design to use and then they were given different jobs. Some manufactured, some made jigs and templates and some printed graphics for the finished project while others wrote letters to companies asking for donations of boxes and packaging foam.
