Xerox leader to address SUNY Brockport graduates

SUNY College at Brockport announced that Ursula Burns will be its undergraduate commencement speaker. Burns is president of Business Group Operations Xerox Corporation, Stamford, Connecticut. She was named to this position in December 2002. She is also a corporate senior vice president, appointed April 2000. She is listed among Fortune magazine's ranking of the most powerful women in American business and has received other citations for her business accomplishments. In a Fortune article published January 30, Burns was cited as one of 12 rising stars in the business world.

As head of Business Group Operations for Xerox, Burns is responsible for a $12-billion global enterprise that includes the company's research, development, engineering, marketing and manufacturing of Xerox technology, supplies and related services.

The SUNY Brockport commencement ceremony will be held at the college's Special Olympics Stadium Saturday, May 13, at 1 p.m.
