Sara Maysick, of Churchville, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for fall of 2005. She is a 2001 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and is the daughter of Randy and Dee Maysick.


Andrew Bourne, son of Joanne and Dave Bourne of Spencerport, graduated magna cum laude from SUNY College at Fredonia in December with a double major in TV/digital production and audio/radio production.

Bourne spent his final semester studying at Edge Hill College, in Lancashire, England. He is a 2001 graduate of E.J. Wilson High School in Spencerport.


The following students enrolled in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University were named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester. From this area are: Shannon Ealy and Katharine Voorheis, both of Spencerport and Alexander Kalamaroff of Rochester.

Students were named to the dean's list at SUNY Geneseo for the 2005 fall semester. In order to qualify, students had to carry at least 12 credit hours, maintain a 3.4 grade-point average (GPA) out of 4.0. From Spencerport are: Timothy Calnon, Elaine Dean, Kaylen Lott, Danielle Powers and Meghan Weinpress.


Ann Bliss, daughter of Terry and Cookie Bliss of Kent has been named to the fall dean's list at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts. She was also named to the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. Bliss is a 2003 graduate of Kendall High School and is majoring in English.

David Robinson of Brockport was named to the dean's list for fall 2005 semester at Syracuse University S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.


The College of Saint Rose awarded graduate degrees and certificates of advanced study to students who completed their requirements in fall 2005. From this area are: Michelle Zulauf and Jocelyn Rutter both of Spencerport and Meaghan LaRocca of Albion.


Genesee Community College has named the following students to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester. Students honored on the dean's list have earned a quality point index of a 3.50 to a 3.74 (roughly equivalent to B+ average).

Jeremy Bryant has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at Alfred University where he is a freshman studying engineering. He is a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School and the son of Richard and Sherri Bryant of Brockport.


Janel Kierecki was named to the fall 2005 dean's list at SUNY Cortland where she is pursuing a dual major in elementary and special education.

She earned a 3.8 for the semester. Dean's list students at SUNY Cortland must earn a GPA of 3.30 or higher.

She is the daughter of John Kierecki and Jane Gebhardt of Hilton.


Kortney Matthews of Brockport was named to the fall 2005 dean's list at Bethel College. Eligibility for the dean's list requires a 3.50 GPA with 12 or more semester hours.


Sara R. Tully of Rochester has been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University chapter of Psi Chi, the national psychology honorary society. To be eligible for membership, a student must have completed four psychology courses and have a 3.4 average (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) in those courses and a 3.2 overall academic average.

Tully graduated from Spencerport High School.


Jennie Anne Davy was named to the dean's list at the College of William and Mary for the fall 2005 semester.

In order to achieve dean's list status, a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student in the School of Arts and Sciences must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 Quality Point Average during the semester.

Greta Renée Johnson of Brockport was named to the dean's list at Nazareth College of Rochester for the fall 2005 semester. She is majoring in speech and communication disorders and has maintained a 4.0 GPA for every semester at Nazareth. She was Home Schooled for grades K-12 and is the daughter of Kevin and Marcy Johnson of Brockport.


Andrew Gudonis, son of John and Marcia Gudonis of Hamlin, has been named to the fall 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Gudonis is a freshman.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.


Michael David Sanger of Hilton has been named to the president's honors list at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is the son of Stan and Ann Sanger.


Navy Seaman Recruit Louis A. Clark, son of Lillian E. Santos of Rochester, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois.

Clark is a 2005 graduate of Gates Chili High School.


Pvt. Ashley M. Putney of the United States Marine Corps graduated from basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina on November 23, 2005. She then went on to do her combat training at Camp Lejuene, North Carolina and graduated on January 24, 2006.

She is the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Putney of Hamlin, and a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School.


Mary Lobene has received the Sales Master Gold Award for 2005 from The Greater Rochester Association of Realtors. Agents receive this award based on either 60 or more closed transactions or $6 million in closed sales for a 12-month period. Mary Lobene achieved both according to Nothnagle Realtors Spencerport manager Dan Head.


Joyce Lobene of Nothnagle Realtors was honored at The Greater Rochester Association of Realtors luncheon for her achievement of 35 closed transactions for the year 2005. She received the Sales Master Award. Joyce Lobene has been a Broker Associate with Nothnagle Realtors for the past 30 years, specializing in residential and new construction sales.
