Ogden town clerk awarded professional designation

Lynn A. Bianchi, CMC, town clerk of the Town of Ogden has been awarded the designation of "Certified Muncipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks ( IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience and service requirements.

Bianchi has been employed with the Town of Ogden since January 1994, where she serves in the position of town clerk.

She attained her designation as Certified Municipal Clerk through completion of the IIMC-approved Municipal Clerks Institute Program conducted by the Department of Applied Economics and Management, Community and Rural Development Institute, Cornell University, Ithaca. This program provides over 100 student/instructor contact hours of in-depth courses in managerial and leadership skills, social and interpersonal concerns, and technical training needed to deal with changes taking place in government today.

She has attended courses and seminars sponsored by the New York State Town Clerks Association, and has completed other courses, seminars and conferences relating to local government.

Active in professional affiliations, she is a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, New York State Town Clerks Association, New York State Association of Tax Receivers and Collectors, and serves as President of the Monroe County Town Clerk, Tax Receivers and Collectors Association.

Ms. Bianchi has been a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks since February 2004. She joins 89 Municipal Clerks from the State of New York who currently hold the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk."
