Kendall district to hold kindergarten
registration, story hour and screening

Registration for children in the Kendall Central School District, who are starting kindergarten will be Monday, March 20 in the Kendall Elementary School Cafeteria from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Children do not need to attend the registration. Any child who will be five years of age on or before December 1, 2006 is eligible for kindergarten for the 2006-07 school year.

Parents must bring the following items to registration: the child's original birth certificate, the child's Social Security number, the child's completed immunization record, parent/guardian identification (such as driver's license)&Mac226; proof of residency (such as a utility bill or checkbook) and proof of custody (court document, if applicable). State health laws require evidence of a child's immunization against polio, measles, rubella, diphtheria, mumps, and hepatitis B in order for him or her to attend school. Kindergarten physicals should be scheduled with your child's physician within three months of the registration date.

Story hour and bus ride for next year's kindergarten students will be Friday, May 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 2 p.m. This is an opportunity for students to experience their first bus ride, meet teachers and classmates and see their new school.
