C-C student organizes a fundraiser for sick classmate

Gregory Selke, a student at Churchville-Chili School District, has organized a 5K race to benefit his friend and classmate, Daniel Myslivecek, a Churchville-Chili student who is fighting a battle against melanoma. Selke invites the community to participate in this fundraising event which will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, at the Churchville-Chili High School Varsity Stadium. Walkers and runners are welcome to participate.

Selke's friend and mentor, Joseph McMahon, a former triathlete, has helped him pull the event together. Proceeds from the race will go to the Daniel Myslivecek Cancer Fund and a portion will be donated to the Hunt of a Lifetime charity. Trophies and medals will be awarded to top place runners. The pre-registration fee is $16 (before March 29). The registration fee the day of the race is $20. All donations are tax deductible.
