Spencerport teams qualify for scholar awards

Three Spencerport winter varsity athletic teams qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the winter 2005-06 season. In order to qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90% or above.

The teams, their grade point average and coach were:

Girls Volleyball, 94.950, Kristen Sharp
Girls Basketball, 90.514, Michael Decillis
Ice Hockey, 91.588, Brian Fedele

Girls Volleyball student-athletes who qualified for this award are: Valerie Snider, Ashley Tarasco, Jessica Merrick, Maura McGuire, Kelly Schweikert, Maryanne Eisenberg, Cristy Cousin, Nicole Baker, Kimberly Parkhurst and Jessica Roth.

Girls Basketball student-athletes who qualified for this award are: Andrea Kazmierski, Lisa Hryvniak, Allison Dietrick, Kacey Pratt, Dion Hill, Angela Bopp and Ashley Green.

Ice Hockey student-athletes who qualified for this award are: Andrew DiAntonio, Daniel Otto, Sean DeMers, John Ellis, Stephen Balcerak, John DiMartino, Luciano Petrella and Gregory Wojcik.
