Riga Republicans honor outgoing officials

Riga Republicans and their friends hosted a celebration in honor of the three outgoing elected officials, former Supervisor Tim Rowe and Councilmen Peter Brundage and Ron Trinkl. Citations recognizing their years of service to the community were presented by the Village of Churchville, County of Monroe and the Riga Republican Committee at the March 25 event.

Rowe served as councilman from 1990 to 2000 and supervisor from 2000 through 2005. Brundage served in many capacities on the town zoning board of appeals before becoming councilman in 1998. He served in that capacity through 2005. After retiring from the Village of Churchville where he served residents for many years, Trinkl served as councilman from 2000 through 2005.

Also recognized for their service to the town were former Zoning Code Enforcement Officer Tim McElligott, and former Citizen Advisory Board members Richard W. Stowe, Cynthia Flynn and Mark Logan.

In a press release, Republican Committee Chairman Steve Brew, said he "was proud of the accomplishments that these citizens had made for the town. Combined, these folks have put the town in a strong position for a great community in the future."
