Hilton High School winter drumline places first

The 37-member Hilton Winter Drumline placed first in the WGI Northeast Regional competition Saturday, April 1 in Stratford, Connecticut. Hilton competed against other ensembles from Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Pennsylvania, Virginia and New Hampshire. Hilton Drumline will go on to compete in the WGI World Percussion Championships in Dayton, Ohio on April 19-22.

Last month, the drumline won its ninth straight New York State Percussion Circuit Championship title. The drumline is directed by Tim Stodd; staff includes Mary Burke, Ken Brooks, Juli Brooks and Hilton alumnus Heather Hubbell; set designers Judy Kinz-Thompson, Rick Wilson, Bill Weber; costumes drumline parents; sponsor Hilton Music Boosters.
