Holley inducts 19 into National Junior Honor Society

The Holley Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society welcomed 19 new members in a ceremony held in late March. NJHS officers began the ceremony by describing the qualities for membership - scholarship, character, service, leadership and citizenship - and lit a candle representing each. Then Superintendent Robert C. D'Angelo and Middle School Principal Susan Cory presented the inductees with certificates.

The group welcomed back Paul Hendel, who served as interim high school principal earlier in the year, as their guest speaker. He looked back on the recent presidential visit during which President George W. Bush spoke about service and leadership. "Every successful leader has a support group behind him or her," said Hendel. "The staff here is part of that - take time to thank them for all they do for you."
