Senator Maziarz starts on-line
petition in support of the Buffalo Bills

Senator George Maziarz today launched an on-line petition on his website, www.senatormaziarz.com, to allow his constituents to express their support for keeping the Buffalo Bills in Western New York.

In the aftermath of the NFL's recent collective bargaining agreement, Bills owner Ralph Wilson has expressed concern about the long-term future of the team's presence in Western New York.

"The Bills are part of the heart and soul of Western New York, and without question they are an important economic engine for our area," Senator Maziarz said. "I invite my constituents to join me in sending a message to NFL Commissioner Tagliabue that we don't want to lose the Bills, and we don't want the NFL to set rules and regulations that are going to make it impossible for the Bills franchise to stay in business. This petition is an outlet for my constituents to speak with a unified voice."

Signers to Senator Maziarz' on-line petition must be residents of the 62nd Senate District (Niagara, Orleans and Monroe counties). Senator Maziarz is urging his colleagues who represent other portions of Western New York to start similar campaigns.
