Joanna Kurycki has signed a Letter of Intent to play softball at the University of North Florida. She has been the starting varsity pitcher at Mercy for four years, leading the team to the Class A State Finals last year with a record of 28-1. In the process, she set Section V single-season pitching records for: number of games won (26); number of innings pitched (186); and most strikeouts (283). Kurycki plans to study Marketing at the Coggin College of Business at UNF.

She is the daughter of Bob and Mary Rita Kurycki of Churchville.


Adam Hendel, along with Carrie A. Barkley, Seth Corona, Stephanie Grakowsky, Scott G. Hassall, Angela Henlyshyn, Thomas L. Jennings, George N. Mantzidis, Allison M. Miller, Dannielle Motangne, Michelle A. Panepento, Jeremy Prince, Jacob Solt, Frank Sykes, Thomas P. Vegneri, Tara Wade and David R. Walker were welcomed into the Phi Alpha Theta Department. The History Awards Celebration was held April 21 at the Morgan Manning House.
