Alison M. Kincaid of Spencerport was named to the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2005 semester from the School of Management at Binghamton University.


Donald G. Lamirande of Spencerport has been named to the dean's list for the winter quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A third year student in RIT's College of Applied Science and Technology, he is studying mechanical engineering technology. Lamirande is the son of Don and Georgia Lamirande of New Port Richie, Florida. He is a 1976 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Theresa Fisher of Brockport was inducted into the Eta Sigma Gamma Health Science Honor Society in a ceremony at SUNY Brockport, where she is a junior in the health science professional program. She is a 2003 honor graduate of Brockport High School and is the daughter of Jeffrey and Barbara Fisher of Brockport.


The following students were honored at the Programs Rooted in Developing Excellence (PRIDE) Program for academic and leadership excellence in the L. C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University.

Scott Snyer of Brockport, a senior majoring in chemical engineering; Meghan Rowcliffe of Churchville, a sophomore majoring in bioengineering; Brian Hunte of Hilton, a freshman majoring in engineering.


The following students from Rochester were honored at the Programs Rooted in Developing Excellence (PRIDE ) Program for academic and leadership excellence in the L. C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University.

They are: Amanda Palmer, a freshman majoring in engineering; Christopher Ruscher, a freshman majoring in aerospace engineering; and Richard Walker, a freshman majoring in civil engineering.


Greg Adams has been promoted to President of One Step Tree & Lawn Care. Owner Bob Ottley has became Chief Executive Officer. Adams has been with the company for nearly 25 of its 30 years. He has served as Vice President since 1985. Adams received his undergraduate degree from Roberts Wesleyan College and his master's degree in business administration from Rochester Institute of Technology.


Army Pfc. Steven T. Steffen has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia.

He is the son of Michelle Steffen of Berry Grove Lane, Brockport and a 1999 graduate of Brockport High School.
