Kendall seventh grade team takes first place in math competition

For the first time, 25 Kendall seventh graders competed in the CMST (Computer, Math, Science and Technology) Competition at Rochester's East High School. Teams from about 15 Rochester-area schools took part in math-based competitions that tested their ability to problem solve. The Kendall team of Lindsey Beehler, Amanda Culbertson, Liz Longrod, Becki Rossi and Emily Theil took first place for which they received a team trophy and a TI 84 graphing calculator for each student.

"All the teams had a great time," said Kristin Schwartzmeyer, science teacher. "We are hoping to expand our participation to include other grade levels next year."
