13-run third leads Bees

Byron-Bergen erupted for 13 runs in the third inning, including a three-run home run by Bobby Bullard, in a 28-10 victory over visiting Kendall in boy's baseball.

The Bees took a 6-1 lead in the first inning on a two-run home run by Jon Flannery and RBI doubles by Ben Sheridan and Jim Darocha.

After Kendall batted around, scoring four runs in the second, the Bees tallied six more in their half of the second inning on a bases loaded walk to Steve MacInally, a first-pitch grand slam by Sheridan and an RBI groundout from Ryan Woodward for a 12-5 lead.

That led to the 13 run inning highlighted by five RBI's from Bullard on a double and the home run, three RBI's from Matt Flannery and run-scoring hits from MacInally, Woodward, and Sheridan.

Sheridan registered 11 strikeouts in picking up the win, which improved Byron-Bergen's record to 6-5. Matt and Jon Flannery combined to go 8 for 10 with five RBI's.

Kendall's Mike Sheffield hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning for the Eagles.
