Rockow doubles in winner

Senior Bryon Rockow doubled past a diving center fielder in the seventh inning scoring Nate Parrino and Nick D'Ambroso to launch Brockport to a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over Rush-Henrietta in boy's varsity baseball.

The Blue Devils took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when A.J. Lana walked, advanced to second on an error, third on a fielder's choice when Ryan Campbell hit behind the runner and scored on Parrino's RBI single to left.

Brockport retook a 2-1 lead in the second inning as Jake Privitera beat out an infield single, stole second and scored on Lana's two-out base hit to center.

The Royal Comets went ahead 4-2 after five innings before Brockport tied the game on Lana's second and third RBI's of the game scoring pinch hitter Jeff Snyder and Alex Maxon.

After R-H scored to take a 5-4 lead in the seventh, the Blue Devils rallied in the home half of the inning. With one out, Parrino singled and D'Ambroso laid down a perfect drag bunt for a hit, putting runners on first and second. That led to Rockow's game-winning hit to even Brockport's record at 6-6, 3-3.

Sophomore Kane Share, the third Blue Devils pitcher in the game, earned his first varsity win in relief.
