Volunteer receives certificate of recognition

On Tuesday, May 9, John Barclay was acknowledged with a Certificate of Recognition from the Monroe County Legislature. Richard Yolevich, Legislator - District 1, along with the Hilton-Parma Recreation Department, recognized Barclay as an individual who donates his time and effort to numerous community organizations and activities.

Barclay founded and coordinated the Hilton-Parma Veterans Display and Brick Memorial at the Village Community Center. He coordinated the Veterans Memorial Day Parade as well as the Flag Committee.

Barclay also spends valuable time with the community's senior citizens volunteering as a driver for the Hilton-Parma Senior Center, preparing taxes as an AARP member and helping to coordinate the June Strawberry Social.
