WE-MO-CO students
refurbish truck

Students in WE-MO-CO Auto Body classes over the last three years have worked to refurbish a 1966 Dodge truck owned by the Spencerport Fire Department. Shown above, minus some of its accessories, the truck now has a solid, rust free body and a new paint job. Until restoration work began on the vehicle, volunteers used it as a grass fire truck (call letters GF44) and for utility purposes. It will soon be parade-ready, according to Jack Shaner, chairman of the Spencerport Volunteer Firemen's Association's Antique Truck Committee. Students in the morning Auto Body class at WE-MO-CO are shown above with Shaner (near rear wheel) and teacher Tim Burnett (far right), shown l to r, Matt Skolny, Nick Stumpf, Matt Henning, Chris Bianchi, Brian Kenyon, Jimi Keller, Ryan Sloan, Kaylie Schmidt, Tom Yatteavi, Trey Sanders. Students in the afternoon class also worked on the truck. They are: Joseph Alemu, Matthew Bonacci, Rashodd Brown, Brian Deconinck, Thomas Donley, Garrett Fauci, Ricky Groves, Tim Gurgir, Jacob Hyson, Ryan Jenks, Aaron Johnson, Joe Keehn, Philip Leach, Charles Liese, Jovany Navedo, Matt Sanders, Jason Stam, Joseph Verdora. On their last day of class, students Matt Skolny and Kaylie Schmidt gave the truck a good wash. Photographs by Walter Horylev.
