Fifth graders
present Wax Museum

Fifth graders in teacher Julie Light's Village Elementary School classroom in Hilton presented a "Famous Americans Wax Museum" May 31 representing 24 well-known figures in American history including Albert Einstein, Harriet Tubman, Sally Ride, Lance Armstrong, Sandra Day O'Connor, Hillary Clinton, the Wright Brothers and Susan B. Anthony. "I learned that Orville flew the first plane," student Ryan Fowler said, "and that Wilbur flew the glider. Their decision was made by a flip of a coin." Student Jenelle Mucher, who represented Hillary Clinton, said, "She accomplished a lot of things. Her parents were there for her and let her be what she wanted to be. It took a lot of hard work." Students dressed as their "wax figure," made posters and answered questions about their lives. Submitted photo.
