United Way of Eastern Orleans County
exceeds campaign goal

United Way of Eastern Orleans County is pleased to announce that they have surpassed their 2006-07 campaign goal of $196,604, with a total of $197,406 raised.

The organization also exceeded their goal of gaining 15 new donors, with 294 new supporters this year.

"There are several aspects that contributed to our campaign's success," said Michael Bonafede, 2006 Co-Chair of the Eastern Orleans United Way/Red Cross Campaign. "We truly do live in a generous community that is always reaching out with a helping hand. Everyone pulling together in this community-wide effort to help our friends and neighbors, through United Way, is critical."

The United Way of Eastern Orleans provides support for 11 human service programs. These programs focus on helping children, families, people with disabilities, and seniors - and play a vital role in ensuring all of Orleans County continues to grow and become an even better place to live and to work.
