Lauren Hendel of Brockport has achieved the president's list at SUNY College at Brockport for spring of 2006. She is a 2002 graduate of Northstar Christian Academy and is the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Hendel.


Adam Hendel of Brockport has achieved the dean's list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for spring of 2006. He is a 2000 graduate of Northstar Christian Academy and is the son of Richard and Rebecca Hendel.


Christina Falco will intern with Southeast Louisiana Legal Services in Hammond, Louisiana. Falco will be helping provide legal assistance to hurricane survivors. She was selected among 608 applicants for 315 participant slots nationwide. She will receive a $2,000 public interest stipend from the School of Law and a $1,000 education award voucher through the national AmeriCorps-funded program. Falco will be entering her third-year at Western New England School of Law in August. She is a graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and hods a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Buffalo.


Franklin Pierce College named Katherine Porter of Brockport, majoring in English and Women in Leadership Certificate, to the spring 2006 dean's list.

Students who have named to the dean's list are congratulated for their outstanding academic performance throughout the semester, in which they have maintained a GPA of 3.3 or above.


Jennifer M. LoTurco, of Rochester, graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School on May 20. She was on the dean's list. LoTurco is a graduate of SUNY Brockport and Gates Chili High School. She is the daughter of Joseph and Nanette LoTurco of Rochester.


Carrie Brown-Alexander, daughter of Alton and Mabel Brown of Clarkson, graduated with her master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Kentucky, summa cum laude, on May 7. Brown-Alexander is a 2000 graduate of Brockport High School and a 2004 graduate of Nazareth College, cum laude.

She currently lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her husband, Karl Alexander, son of Rick and Yvonne Alexander of Hamlin.

Karl received his master's degree in history from the University of Kentucky, summa cum laude, on May 7 and is a 2000 graduate of Brockport High School and a 2004 graduate of Nazareth College, magna cum laude. He will begin work on his Ph.D. at Kentucky this fall.

Carrie is currently employed as a crisis counselor at the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center in Lexington and will continue at the University of Kentucky this fall to work on her EDS degree in counseling. She then plans to attend the University of Toronto in the fall of 2007 to pursue her Ph.D. in counseling.


Dr. Niccole Adams has successfully completed her studies and has earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Adams is a 1997 Hilton Central School graduate and a 2001 graduate from SUNY Brockport with dual bachelor of science degrees in chemistry and math. Dr. Adams has accepted a pharmacist position in the Rochester area.

She is the daughter of Randel and Harriet Adams of Hilton.


William T. Michielsen of Spencerport received a bachelor of science degree in computer science, magna cum laude, from Rochester Institute of Technology's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. He is a 2001 graduate of Spencerport High School and the son of Thomas and Linda Michielsen.


David Pels of Spencerport will play in the Eddie Meath All Star Game on June 30. His individual statistics are 3 sacks in one game; 4 fumble recoveries; 8 tackles in one game, sack record. His individual athletic honors are: 1st and 2nd team All County Heart & Soul award and weight lifter of the year.


Kyle Muir of Spencerport will play in the Eddie Meath All Star Game on June 30. His individual statistics are: average punt, 40.1; longest punt, 56; average kickoff, 56; set school record for longest field goal, 42 yards. He also earned Monroe County "Punter of the Year," 2003-2005; Spencerport High School Heisman nominee 2005; named "Most Consistent Punter" at the 4th Down Sports Kicking Camp, 2005; named team's MVP, football. His academic honors: 3.8 GPA and member of National Honor Society.

Candice Rockell, daughter of Jim and Lee Rockell of Spencerport, has been named to the spring 2006 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Rockell, a senior, graduated in May, summa cum laude, with a bachelor of science in mathematics and has been accepted as a doctoral candidate in applied mathematics at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia for the fall semester. She is a 2002 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Christine M. Jackson of Spencerport has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2006 semester at SUNY Geneseo. She is the daughter of Jeff and Barb Jackson.
