Students participate in world's largest concert

Brockport's Hill Elementary School is one of 10 schools in the nation to be honored for their fundraising efforts in the World's Largest Concert in March. Hill School students, joined by several high school string players and singers, sang along with a nationwide broadcast to raise money for Feed the Children, an international non-profit relief organization that delivers food, medicine and clothing to children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty or natural disaster.

Hill School's Vocal Music Teacher Becki Boyanski coordinated the school-wide sing along concert during Music In Our Schools Month. Student Council sold kazoos and pins, raising more than $250 for the cause.

The Hill School received a large banner, a music plaque and Feed the Children pins for each student.
