BHS student awarded Hage Scholarship

At the Brockport High School graduation ceremony, Jessica Knapp was awarded the Thomas and Helen Hage Scholarship award.

This award, given in memory of Thomas and Helen Hage, is presented to a graduating senior entering a college program and who possesses good citizenship qualities, a high cumulative average, who has participated in community service and overcome adversity by their own self-motivation and drive.

Knapp graduated with honors achieving a 96.21 cumulative average for four years at Brockport High School. She has been a member of National Honor Society, Varsity Club, Key Club, SADD and the BHS Band. A participant in the Senior Citizen Prom, SMART (Students Mixing Athletics & Reading Together) Readers and Leukemia Dance Marathon, Jessica is a three-year Varsity Cheerleader who was Most Valuable Player in 2004 and 2005, and a top 20 finalist in the National Cheerleader of the Year competition.

She will attend Monroe Community College in the 2+2 program this fall, majoring in physical education.
