new youth pastor Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mt. Read Blvd., Greece, will welcome Rev. Katherine Neel on Sunday, August 6. A 2006 graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, she will serve as associate pastor. Her particular areas of focus will be with youth, families and young adults. Neel grew up in Worthington, Minnesota and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. Following college, she began working full-time as coordinator or director at camps supporting Lutheran Ministries. Katherine and her husband, Michael, pastor at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kendall, both enjoy adventures in the great outdoors, playing games and spending time with family and friends.
