New Lakeside Health System Board officers elected

Lakeside Health System officers for the 2006-2007 term elected at the annual meeting in May were Elizabeth (Libby) Caruso, chairperson; Donald Pophal, vice chairperson and treasurer; Robert Slocum, secretary; Chriss M. Andrews, past chairperson.

Elizabeth Caruso joined the hospital board in March 1998. She is director of the SUNY Student Health & Counseling Centers. In that capacity she has been coordinating health care services for students with staff of Lakeside Memorial Hospital and its Family Wellness Center for many years. Caruso is a life-long resident of Brockport.

Don Pophal has served on the hospital board for the past three years. He was director of operations at Kodak and brings many years of business and financial experience to his volunteer work on the board. Pophal resides in Brockport.

Robert Slocum has served on the hospital board for the past three years. He previously served on the foundation board for six years. He also co-chaired the Kendall Committee of Lakeside's capital campaign and chaired the Kendall Medical Office Building Committee, which successfully raised over $364,000 to build a permanent office building for a physician in Kendall. Slocum is a self-employed attorney at law with offices in Brockport. He resides in Kendall.

Chriss M. Andrews is owner and president of Hometowne Energy. Previously, he served as chairperson of the Lakeside Foundation Board from 1993 to 1996 and was a member since 1990. Andrews resides in Brockport.
