School meal prices remain the same

The price of meals purchased at Spencerport schools will remain the same for the 2006-07 school year, according to Director of Food Services Denise Kelley. Breakfast for all grade levels is $1, lunch for students in grades K-5 is $1.85, and for students in grades 6-12, $2. Under its health and wellness effort, the district sells 1 percent, skim and 1 percent chocolate milk for 50 cents.

Parents can put money in an account for their child or children. A week of lunch for elementary students cost $9.25, $10 for secondary students. Breakfast is $5 per week. Make checks payable to "The Spencerport School Lunch Fund."

Spencerport belongs to the National School Meal Program. Free and reduced price meals are available for those who qualify. Applications are in each of the building offices, in the Director of Food Services Office and on the District website at www.SpencerportSchools.org. Contact Kelley at 349-5191 with any questions.
