Hilton School District gets two records management grants

According to Hilton Central School District Superintendent of Schools David Dimbleby, the district has received two Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grants (LGRMIF) in the amount of $28,387 from the New York State Archives.

New York State Archives offers LGRMIF grants to support, promote and recognize sound archival and records management practices, as well as to encourage creative and valuable uses of archival records.

"These grants will help the district respond to the challenges of managing records and information in the twenty-first century," said grant writer Patricia Unterborn who is Hilton School District Clerk and LGRMIF Records Management Officer. "The district received a $13,616 grant to customize the Records Retention Schedule for 38 departments in the district and to train individual departments in the use of a retention schedule. The district also received a $14,771 grant to renovate a records storage area."
