Newsmakers for the week of

Shana Nesbitt, Brockport High School Class of 2004, received an associates degree in communications and media arts from Monroe Community College.

She transferred to Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Nesbitt has received the SU Chancelor's Scholarship for academic excellence. She is the daughter of Paul and Marybeth Nesbitt.


Michael Placito has been named to the dean's list at Niagara University for the spring semester 2006.

Placito is a graduate of Spencerport High School and is the son of JoAnne and Chuck Placito of Ogden.


Renee' Michele Laese has graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in communications/public relations from the State University of Fredonia. She accepted a position in public relations/development with the Episcopal SeniorLife Communities.

She is the daughter of Michael and Tracy Humphrey and Mark and Suzanne Laese.


Dorothy Swingle has joined Teringo Properties as Associate Broker. She has over 28 years of experience selling homes, condos, land, foreclosures, and auctioned properties.
