Parent University's focus is on bullying

The Spencerport School District's Family Support Center will sponsor a series of three presentations on bullying in October. Each workshop will cost $3 for district residents and $6 for non-residents.

What is Bullying and How is it a Problem?
Wednesday, October 11, 7 to 8:30 p.m. - Cosgrove Library, 2749 Spencerport Road, Spencerport.

This workshop will define the issues and discuss the impact of bullying on students including their emotional well being and school performance.

Internet Bullying and Computer Safety.
Wednesday, October 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Cosgrove Library, 2749 Spencerport Road, Spencerport.

What should a parent know in order to help a student deal with cyber-bullying? Learn the safe use of computers in an age of adult predators.

What Can Parents and Students Do in Response to Bullying?
Wednesday, October 25, 7 to 8:30 p.m. - Cosgrove Library, 2749 Spencerport Road, Spencerport.

This workshop will examine specific ideas about what parents and students can do to address bullying.
