Lakeside names interim vice president of medical affairs
Lakeside named James E. Szalados, M.D. as interim vice president, medical affairs. Szalados has been practicing medicine since 1986 and most recently has been practicing at Unity Health System, both as an anesthesiologist and as an attending in Critical Care Medicine. more

Chili offers leaf disposal options
Because wet leaves do not lend themselves to easily being picked up by the leaf vacuum equipment, Town of Chili officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of several other options: Compost small amounts of leaves in backyards or bag leaves and drop them off at the designated site behind the Chili Highway Garage at 3235 Chili Avenue. more

Genesee Community College hosts changing trends in workforce seminar
College and high school educators and administrators and workforce advocates and economic developers are invited to a free, all-day seminar dealing with the technological advances in education and the workforce. The event, entitled "A Day in the Future," will be Friday, October 13 at Genesee Community College. Jim Brazell of San Antonio, Texas, an entrepreneur and motivational speaker, will present his fifth world presentation in two segments, in the college's Conable Technology Building. more

A crisp fall morning greeted 73 runners for the 28th Annual Apple Derby 5-Mile Run sponsored by Hilton-Parma Recreation Department. With trophy opportunities in eight age classifications and a special Masters Division, runners were poised to produce individual best times. more

Coming off a win against Webster Schroeder, the Hilton Cadets Varsity Football Team (2-2) hosted the Webster Thomas Titans (3-1) on Friday, September 29, under the lights of LeBeau Field before an estimated crowd of 4,000. more
