Jane Dimopoulos, MD has joined Lakeside Memorial Hospital as an OB-GYN physician in conjunction with Oak Orchard Community Health Center. She will be seeing patients in the Albion office.

Dimopoulos is board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology, American Medical Association and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She and her husband have two children, ages one month and 21-months-old.


Steven Modica, Spencerport resident and founding partner of the law firm Modica & Associates, has been appointed to the Judiciary Committee of the Monroe County Bar Association. Modica will serve a three-year term.


Barbara Spencer joined the Bank of Castile as retail services specialist at its new Greece office, 724 Long Pond Road, said James W. Fulmer, president and CEO.

"Barbara has 26 years of experience in banking in the Greece community," Fulmer said. "We welcome her knowledge and expertise to assist our customers with a complete range of financial services."

Spencer worked for the former Fleet Bank and Bank of America as a senior sales and service representative. She is a volunteer with the Greece Rotary Club LPGA to benefit handicapped children and also volunteers with Lifespan to assist clients with financial planning and services.

A Greece resident, she is a graduate of Central City Business Institute in Syracuse.


Elizabeth Gangale of Ogden, a Level 8 gymnast at The Victors Gymnastics of Greece, qualified to represent Region 6 at the National TOPS B-Camp to be held at Bela Karolyi's TOPS National Team Training Center in Houston, Texas on December 6-10.

Gangale qualified at the National TOPS testing held September 22-24 in Houston. She earned a spot at the B-Camp by qualifying as one of the top 40, 10-year-old gymnasts throughout the United States.


Al and Cheryl Honan, Realtor Associates with Prudential Discover of Spencerport, have been named top selling agents and also top listing agents for the month of September.

Al and Cheryl have 25 years combined service. They both are life-time residents of Spencerport.


Airman Christopher Fisher graduated from technical school at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas and final certification as a Crew Chief for C-130 aircraft at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. After a return home for leave and a brief assignment as a recruiter assistant to SSGT Duane Eddy in the Greece recruiting office, he will report for his first duty assignment with Air Force Special Forces, at Hurlburt Field in Pensacola, Florida. He is a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School and is the son of Jeffrey and Barbara Fisher of Brockport.
