"Eighth Grade Day" focuses on team-building Hilton's Merton Williams Middle School held its annual "Eighth Grade Day" on Thursday, October 5. Tricia Hess, English Language Arts teacher at the school, said "Our theme is 'The Power of One' and our goal is to offer students an opportunity to reach out to each other, across their teams, by having a Run/Walk-A-Thon to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times. The Run/Walk was held at the outdoor track at Hilton High School. In addition, there were a number of field events including 'pumpkin chucking' and 'apple bobbing.'
