Byron-Bergen's science instructor, Stephen Locke, will be a guest speaker at the annual conference of the Science Teachers Association of New York State held November 5-7. Locke will be the guest speaker for two topics during this conference. As member of the American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific organization, he will describe the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society which recognizes student success in chemistry. Also as member of the Bergen Swamp Society, Locke will lead two workshops describing the "9th Grade Interdisciplinary Stream and Wetland Study" developed at the Byron-Bergen Central School District.


Dick Lippa, GRI, Associate Broker with Century 21 Capital Realty was awarded the Sales Master Gold Award on Friday evening November 3, at the Riverside Convention Center. Lippa is also celebrating over 30 years of real estate service to the community and is currently ranked as the number one agent in Monroe County this year for the franchise.


Shaun DeVos graduated as PFC from PLT 2074, 2nd BN, Fox Co. in the USMC of Parris Island, South Carolina on September 22. He also has completed MCT in Camp Geiger, North Carolina on October 24. He is now attending MOS in 29 Palms, California.

DeVos is a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School and is the son of parents Randy and Lisa DeVos and brother of Nicole DeVos of Hamlin.
